Artex has manufactured Self-locking headrails for over 20 years. We take pride in manufacturing only quality equipment that has made us who we are today. We have been approached by our dealers and customers to develop a more cost effective Self-lock to compete in the American Market of the 21st Century.

A wide variety of mounts attach the headrail to steel or wood posts - either in front, behind, or between the posts. Our mounts allow for several inches of adjustment to compensate for uneven post placement.

Artex Fabricators Feed Rails - Sloped Self-locking Headrails

If you choose not to install Self Locking Headrail on the feed alley of your dairy facility we offer a Sloped Feedrail as an alternative. The Sloped Feedrail offers a variety of opening spaces to fit your herd's requirements from Calf sizes to Mature Cow sizes, and is manufactured with Gatorsheild material to ensure strength and longevity.

Artex Fabricators Silent Self-locks Self-locking Headrails

The newest adition to our Self-lock line is the Silent Self-lock. We utilize the latest technology of laser cutting and computer controlled forming to become more cost effective in the larger markets. The Silent Self-lock is a double swing Self-lock which will allow the dairy cow to pull her head out of the bottom if she loses her footing.

This Headrail is fabricated using Allied Gatorshield® square tubing and is equipped with rubber bumpers to eliminate the noise of steel on steel contact.

Artex Fabricators Mature Cow Self-locks Self-locking Headrails

Mature Cow Self-locks are constructed using 2 3/8" OD steel top and bottom rails, and 1 5/8" OD high tensile steel for the vertical and swing bars.

Now even taller - our inside height is 34" to increase cow comfort! The openings are curved so that even bulls can get their heads through the openings.

Artex Self Locks are hot dipped galvanized after fabrication.
